MusicFlex does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Not "only what we need" — none. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. The app has no servers of its own, so there is nowhere for your data to go. This page exists to say that out loud (and because Apple rightly requires one).

This policy covers the MusicFlex app for iPhone and iPad — listed on the App Store as Music Flex Player — and this website.

Your music

The music files you add belong to you and stay on your device. MusicFlex reads them only to build your library — titles, artists, album art, and durations are extracted on the device and shown to you, nothing more. Your files are never uploaded anywhere, and playback works with the network switched off entirely.

What the app stores on your device

The app keeps a local database of your library — the metadata read from your files, plus everything you create in the app: playlists, favorites, edits to titles or artists, and settings. All of it lives on your device, is included in your own device backups according to your iOS settings, and is deleted when you delete the app. None of it is sent to me or to anyone else.

Wi-Fi Transfer

When you open the Wi-Fi Transfer screen, your device runs a small web server on your local network so a browser on the same Wi-Fi can move files onto it. That connection goes directly from your computer to your device over your own network — it never touches the internet or anyone's servers. The server exists only while the screen is open; close it and the door is shut. This is why iOS asks for the local-network permission.

TestFlight and the App Store

If you install MusicFlex through TestFlight or the App Store, Apple may share crash reports and basic usage statistics with me — only if you have opted in to sharing them with developers — along with any feedback you choose to send. That data is collected by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; I see nothing beyond what Apple provides.

This website

musicflex.app is a static page: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking scripts. Like nearly every web server, the host keeps routine access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and operations; they are not used for anything else.

Children

MusicFlex collects no data from anyone — including children.

Changes

If any of this ever changes, the new policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Given what the app is, don't expect much movement.
